After nine months of research about evaluation systems in public school districts in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, Jesse Margolis presented a comparative analysis of the progress in identifying the evolution of and the difficulties with student learning.

What are the main differences in teaching in schools from these two networks? What are the reasons that mobilize major efforts? What are areas of school evaluation that need more attention?

Jesse did an analysis of the São Paulo school evaluation system, including IDESP and the bonus-per-result system.
