On July 26, Norman Gall, executive director of the Fernand Braudel Institute of World Economics, was one of the speakers at "Brazil: Midyear Economic and Political Outlook", a discussion promoted by the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce in New York.

Other speakers included Katerina Alexandraki, João Castro Neves, Felipe Pianetti, Tony Volpon and Paulo Vieira da Cunha.
